Sgt. Norwood served as a squad leader with the Weapons Co., 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division (3/1). Sgt. Norwood fiercely loved his family, friends, country, and his fellow Marines. His brave actions in Fallujah on November 13, 2004 will not be forgotten. Vets for Freedom will conclude the National Heroes Tour in the city that never sleeps with multiple media appearances. The Heroes will be riding on the momentum created at Vets on the Hill and will discuss the success of the counter-insurgency strategy and General Petraeus’ report to Congress, as well as their experiences from the tour meeting local heroes and supporters from across the US.
